Water is the primary principle.
—Thales of Miletus

I don’t understand water.
I have thought I know her, but once I take a closer look,
I realized that I don’t know water at all.
Riddles are her sensitive reactions when a dust drops on the surface.
Waves forms when water in ocean kissing the land.
She can dance and sing like a child, and she often does.

However, most people take it for granted and gradually treat it badly.
We forget water is the origin of all creatures.
So don’t tell me you know water,
unless you walk close to her and try to feel her joy, sadness, strength, tenderness,
and her devotion to lives in this world.

In this project, I recorded my living journey with water. Except for basic needs, water also plays many kinds of characters surrounding us. Sadly, it is invisible so that people hardly find its beauty and variety. I would like to observe water in different perspectives and embrace every moment I spend with her.
I want to become water.
Because she can change
its form freely and fit in anything.
I want to feel comfortable
no matter what colors,
shapes and looks I am,
just like her.
I want to become water.
